When 2 friends sit around talking about life, an awfully good cup of coffee is a necessity. In 2018, that’s just how Tom & Franz met, over a cup of coffee. One day Tom asked Franz, “ How hard can it be to roast your own coffee? “ Several days later, Franz emerged from his research and said… “It’s really not that hard!” These two clearly underestimated what they were getting into. After several test batches of beans and almost a year later, Oxymoron Coffee was born.
Sit back and take a big sip, and enjoy our fresh roasted drip.
Espresso-ly Yours- Tom & Franz
Greetings, my name is Franz Constancio. I am the co-owner and one of the roasters for Oxymoron Coffee.
I am a long time resident of the beautiful Hudson Valley. Born on the island of Manhattan, I moved for a short period in New Jersey, to be finally settled back into the Hudson Valley. I graduated from Tappan Zee High School, completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh.
I reside in New Windsor, with my beautiful wife, son and daughter. I actively participate in many volunteer activities as well as I am a Director Consultant for an international organization called Business Network International (BNI).
As a business owner in the Hudson Valley for over 10 years, I have learned and seen the landscape change dramatically for the better. Businesses and homeowners are racing to the Hudson Valley for its location, scenery and affordability.
Oxymoron Coffee was the brainchild of Tom and myself. We both met over a cup of coffee while volunteering locally. We both had a passion for coffee, coming from different career backgrounds we both had a passion for creating and sharing our love of coffee with others. Our mission to provide you an awfully good sip of our delicious drip.
Greetings, my name is Tom Brown co-founder of oxymoron coffee. When I approached my friend and now business partner Franz about roasting our own coffee beans, he immediately started the leg work and a short time later we started roasting. After a lot of trial and error, oxymoron coffee was launched in 2022. Being a lifetime resident of the Hudson valley, I love supporting local businesses. Being an accomplished marathon runner, I had the honor of qualifying and finishing the 1998 Boston marathon. These days I have slowed down a bit and now in my free time I love hiking mount Beacon and traveling! So, when you are hanging out with a friend, do it with an awfully good cup of coffee!
